Im still learning.

To find the balance point between a mentor and a fren.

Many times during lessons I realise instead of teaching the syllabus, I end up disciplining the students. Looking @ the other teachers, I admire the way they handle the balance. Setting your ground rules, this is what the other teachers call it. I guess these grd rules will correspond to your beliefs as well.

I hope I can treat my students as sensible and mature kids. But many times, I realise they dun behave that way. Im not bothered by the way they look @ me nor the way they speak. Cos I believe I was once like dat too (oops)But they dun understand the importance of being attentive in class.

I tink at many times, they've already realised dat Im a gullible teacher =( OK i got tricked by a student. See what I mean that I cant trust that they're sensible. I felt a lil foolish after dat.

I hope for mutual trust.

I tried to be as stern as I could but they'll still mis-behave during my class. I guess they'll just push their luck. Maybe cos I nv take action for their defiance.

My rules are not complete enough, at least for the particular class. The consequences are not apparent to them.

Still, I'll continue to believe that I shld give, instead of keeping it. They're still kids after all. I hope one day they'll learn, like how I learnt.
