It feels a lil unreal these days...

Seems like im floating with the days..it juz passes. With many events happening. These events doesnt feel real..until they really sank in. Even when I see Stephen, Jeremy, Boon San, Reuben and WeiCheng's photos on the papers, on the news and even at their wakes, it still doesnt feel real.

Last Thursday, I sent them off to Cambodia at the airport. This Thursday, Im sending them again..back to where they came from.

I juz got to know Jeremy better thru my boy. He's really a lovable chap, alwaz there with his "stupidly funny and sometimes sarcastic" jokes. He has the ability to mk it nt that offensive *salutes* so it juz tickles the ppl ard him. A mentally tough guy i see him..from the way he trains. My first impression of him is his tiny eyes..I alwaz like guys with small eyes..dun ask me why..maybe cos they look cute. And he rode a scrambler..the dangerously cool factor.

Stephen's like our big brother..he looks like a teddy bear=)I knew him when I joined the NTeam in 2003. My dad alwaz like to tease him..and calls him "Step-Hen" A really disciplined and hard-core guy, I see him often in our NTU gym and going for his own "secret trainings" I like his smile and tiny eyes.. charismatic. I was afraid of talking to him at the start cos he looks rather stern when he doesnt smile and he's actually q a quiet person, I find. But recently, we've spoken more and he's actually q cheeky, teasing my boy and I when we got together initially. Also in the same profession, I hope I'll be able to carry on what u've started..and continue to inspire the kids when I stepped into the teaching line. For u.

Boon San ..I've nt known him well enough but I salute him for his passion towards the sports. Some ppl criticize him for leaving and coming bac to the team eventually..But I guess it takes courage to ignore all these comments and stay true to what u believe in and what u want.

Reuben, a talented man.. Same age as me. I recognized him as a kayakist..and haf seen him ard since I started with NTU canoeing. He was alwayz the only k1 rower from NYP..so he will pace with our guys. It's nt easy to train alone. It needs a lot of self motivation to push urself to do better. He did it. Jasmine still loves u alot..U're a lucky man. The first and last time I spoke to him was in the airport when I was sending the guys off to Cambodia.

WeiCheng is one of the youngest in the team and unfortunately, I've not spoken to him before. He was going to start his studies in NTU next year. Hope u'll rest in peace.

It took some time for all these to sink in, to be able to face all the media reports.
Be strong guys. Be strong Mr Nasiman.

I ask myself whether I'll be afraid of the waters after this..No, I answered to myself. Because they wont want to see us quit.

I miss having them around. What will the future be like.
