Think dis coming year end, i'll like to visit Cambodia , to just pay respects to our guys who met with the accident last Nov. I belive we wont spend too long a time there. Perhaps just a 3 day 2 night stay at the area. My boy has bad memories of the place, so just a short stay will do.

Then hopefully we will be able to make our way back to Taiwan. This time our target will be to visit the Yilan & Hualien area before making our way back to Taipei =)

I believe there wont be any major comps during the year end, besides the Stand chart marathon, so shld be able to spend the time overseas. =)

Wanted to make the best out of the one week recess. And I've always wanted to visit Chek Jawa. So taa-daa..a great opportunity! =)

Prior to setting off in the bumboat to Ubin, I had a nice dumpling noodles @ Changi Village! It's q famous (those kind with a lot of posters on the stall) haa.

The weather was great. Not sunny..and cooling! yeah!

Greeted by rows of bicycle rental shops at the entrance of Ubin. But looking dat the weather is good, my fren and I decided to tk a walk to Chek Jawa instead.

Along the way we saw this huge spider..heh..

Reached the start of the Coastal Boardwalk

The coastal forests at a glance. =)

My nice hair colour *snapshot*

More coastal forest!

Thanks to the low tide, we were able to see some wildlife- can see the lil crabs? One of their pincers is bigger den the other. =)

The mangrove

We climbed up to the Seletak Tower (I think it's spelled dis way). The highest point in Chek Jawa. My legs were a lil wobbly thou haa. The view is nice.

The coastal view near the visitor center

Our self tour ended at ard 2plus. After which we took an expensive Mercs van back to the jetty- $5 each, when we thot it was $2 per person =(

Den we ate zi ca..thou the food was really nice, i was q turned off by the amount of pork lard which was in the food. =(

Besides the little frills, I still enjoyed the trip to Check Jawa, or rather Ubin =) Havent gone there ever since my NP days in Sec sch. It was refreshing to get out of SG once in a while and be in touch with nature. And thanks to the cooling weather, it made the trip even more enjoyable. The next time I return (hopefully not too long later), I hope to be able to see more "wildlife" stuffs.

A recent report which I read on Cleo to justify my indulgence in nuts haa:-

"The Iowa Women's Health Study found that women who ate nuts more than 4 times a week were 40 percent less likely to die of heart disease. "

Finally no more GESL. *relieved*

And finalized the song list for our band's performance dis coming March. I had some difficulties with some of the song. "zao xia" during "I Need You" *bleah. But it's a nice song if I managed to pull it thru. haa. Other songs which I'll be doing:-
- "You Were Meant for Me" - I quite like the song =) But sometimes I cant seem to get the lyrics going at the right tempo with the tune. I lack the emotions ...according to the rest of the band members.
- You're Still the One - A lil monotonous, trying to see how I cld add some "heights" to the song
- Only When I Sleep- I was reluctant to do this song initially. Cos it gives me the creeps..sounds like a grp of witches singing by a fire. But undeniably, it gives our musicians a lot more to play with. I need a backup singer thou...I tink. Cant seem to get the last verse going right thou. Need more practice
- Shakespeare in Love. I tink it's a song during my JC time. I felt breatheless doing the song! haa..hopefully it'll get better.

Next week we're gonna practice again!

Training's stepping up a lil. Sunday is a "double-sessioned". Cos of the recent regulation of no boats out in Marina Reservoir after 7pm, we have to find alternative sessions to clock enough mileage. So we have to have increase our sessions during weekends. MR 500's coming in 2 weeks time..are we ready to go?

Teaching experience dis week was bad. Dont wish to elaborate it further. but den again, nothing in this world is fair.

Celebrated my boy's bday on Mon. Sorry for the "not so elaborate" celebration. I've never been a romance kind of person. But no lack in sincerity yeah =)

Next week's hols! But lotsa catching up in work to do..jia you!

And congrats to SG and us! for winning the bid for YOG 2010! Good job ppl!
