My horoscope today wrote:-

You need to push harder today if you want to get any thing done, but make sure you do it with a smile on your face. It's easy for you to bowl people over with your charm and that could work against you in the long run.

7 - 11 has been giving away these doraemon magents since the pre-Euro Cup time. With purchases made $5 and above, we will be entitled to one.

All thanks to the bread bought during our weekend trg which usually comes up to $5.80 with 2 loaves of Gardenia ( one raisin and banana walnut), i've collected 10 so far =)

After many days of prep, we were finally ready for our first flea market ( as part of our fund raising initiative).

Initially we were still afriad that we werent able to cover the rent ( $60) but thank goodness, our sales was still not too bad. And we made q a bit on top of our rent. And really thank our ex rowers who helped to carry the stuffs and mend the stall in the morning, cos all of us were still engaged in trg! of course not forgetting the team for the contributions.

Most of our patrons were maids and young kids. There were some stalls who closed really early like 2 plus, thou the event was till 6pm. The crowd was not a lot, so we're glad dat we actually were able to mk money =)

During the hols, I've realised some changes in SG. Thou a lil late, but better den never. haa.

Last Fri when I wanted to get to Suntec from City Hall MRT, I've realised that the bridge linking Raffles Link to Suntec was no more there! And it had been removed since 12 MAy. Thou I've alwayz been ard City Hall area ( cos usually after trg, we'll be having lunch @ Marina Sq), I've nv realised that the bridge was already removed! So in replacement, the new underpass linking City Link to Suntec City was opened.

The underpass

after much deliberation, my boy has decided to bet on today's Euro Cup match (Holland vs France), But den we realised that the draw ticket is now different too. It's slightly more complicated now, with different codings for the different kind of bets.

I hope we win!!

I've finally watched Sex & The City !

The 2 1/2 hr was not boring cos the plot was nicely brought thru =) Alright there were q a couple of "M18" scenes..but still acceptable I feel. It's a "Girls'" show I feel, totally written from a woman's point of view.. stuffs like "happily being single", "looking for THE ONE", "Changing for the other half". "Marriage vs Just staying together".. Maybe that's why I enjoyed the show =)

We've initially wanted to check out the new Cathay @ Downtown East. But cos of the timing, my boy and I decided to watch the show @ Cathay AMK Hub. I've received the UOB NOW card and one of the privileges was supposed to be free Monday tix at Cathay..so I happily thot it was valid in all Cathay outlets. But BOO..it was only available @ THE Cathay.. sigh. But at least I've managed to use my free movie vouchers exchanged with my UOB rewards.

Next time when I wanna watch a movie, have got to try to catch it@ THE CAthay. btw, they have crunchier pop corns than GV. =)

After much research on hotel buffets, mum rejected the idea of having buffets *bleah* So we went to a cafe instead cos mum wanted to have beef.

Looking for some place near to our house, i suggested The Bliss Cafe at Punggol Park. The place is usually crowded but thinking dat it's a weekday, it shld be ok not making reservations.

At the cafe, we got a 4 seater table at the outdoors, but mum started complaining of mosquitoes. Made our orders after which. Dad brought a bottle of red wine. When we asked whether we cld open our own wine, the service staff replied us saying it was impossible. But after asking her manager, she replied that we have to pay a corkage of $25. ( Alright so the stuff seems new) But paying $25 is almost equivalent to getting a bottle of wine.

After a while, one of the 6 seater table was empty, so mum requested to shift over to the table. But another of the staff insisted that it was meant for a 6 seater and it had been reserved so we cant shift over. Then proceeded to put on the "Reserved" tag on the table.

The next moment, bro asked to switch on the lightings on the celiling. But the staff replied that the lights were spoilt (duh ...) In the end, they offered to shift us to the 6-seater. But since we've already started eating and being petty, mum decided not to shift.

Oh well..and food itself wasnt like "wah wah" ..very normal I would say. Their jug was Fosters , going at $18.50. And their staff were always looking at our tables, trying to spot "finished" plates. But it did give us a weird tinge ..like they keep staring?

All and all, I'll probably fail them for their service level. (Until we left, the "reserved" table was still empty..duh..)
